Dear Jackie,
Hello from Hong Kong! My class tour of China is almost over. Hong Kong is our last stop. We arrived here on Friday night, and I'm having a lot of fun.
On Saturday, we visited the top of Victoria Peak. The view (视野) from the top was incredible! I could see all of Hong Kong. There were also some nature trails (观景小路) on the peak. We went for a short walk and then had lunch in the afternoon.

Yesterday, our group went to Disneyland (yes, there's one here)! The park was crowded, and the lines for rides were long. I waited an hour to go on Space Mountain. That was my favourite!

On 2nd July 1937, Amelia Earhart was on her way to making history. Already a world-famous pilot (飞行员), she was about two-thirds of the way to become the first woman to fly around the world. ???▲?? ?Her plane disappeared that day, and so did Earhart.
Earhart was born on 24th July 1897 in Atchison, Kansas, US. At her time, very few women flew airplanes. In 1932, she became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean alone. Three years later, she became the first woman to fly across the Pacific Ocean alone. After that, Earhart wanted to circle the world. On 1st June 1937, she and Fred Noonan took off from Miami, Florida. Thirty-one days later, they had completed much of their journey. They had reached the island of New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean. Their next stop would be Howland Island, a small island more than 2,500 miles away.
But something went wrong during the flight (飞行) there. The sky was overcast (阴云密布的), and Earhart and Noonan couldn't find the island. After nearly 24 hours of flying, the plane's fuel (燃料) was running low. Earhart sent radio messages to a US Coast Guard near Howland Island. Her final message was received at 8:45 am on 2nd July. She was never heard from again.
Search teams spent about three months looking for Earhart, Noonan or their plane, but they had no luck. Earhart's disappearance shocked (使震惊) the world. Eighty years after she went missing, people are still trying to find out what happened to her.

“Just in time for the school talent show next week,” I said.
“Are you doing anything for the talent show, Jeremy?” Petey asked.
“No,” I said. “If I were a little older, like you, maybe I could play a musical instrument too. Well, I'm sure you'll win first prize this year.”
“Maybe,” said Petey. “I'm playing a song I wrote myself.”
“You write your own songs?” I asked, feeling a bit shocked.
“It's not hard,” he said. “My song is called ‘Two for One'. I got the idea when I was shopping with my mum last Saturday. There was a two-for-one sale at the store. But I haven't written all the words yet.”
“I wish I could play the guitar. How can you stretch (伸展) the fingers on your left hand so far?”
“By practising,” said Petey. “At first it was hard. Now it's easy and fun.”
This morning, I was surprised to find that Petey's right arm was in a cast (石膏).
“I got hurt playing baseball yesterday,” he said. “Now I can't be in the talent show.”
Petey looked unhappy. Suddenly I had an idea. “We could sit next to each other on the stage (舞台),” I said. “You could play the left-hand parts, and I'll strum (弹奏) with my right hand.”
“It might work,” Petey said excitedly.
