探究一、形容词和副词的最高级的构成方法是：
1规则变化
1）单音节词和部分双音节词的变化规则：
（A）一般在词尾加–est。如：tall—tallest, long—longest。
（B）以不发音的字母 e 结尾的单词，直接加–st。如：large—largest。
（C）以“辅音字母+y”结尾的单词，则将y改为 i 再加-est。如：healthy—healthiest。
（D）以重读闭音节结尾，且末尾只有一个辅音字母的，则双写最后这个辅音字母，再加-est。如：big-- biggest, thin—thinnest。
2) 多音节以及某些双音节形容词或副词变为最高级时，则通常在其前加most。如：slowly—most slowly, beautiful—most beautiful。
2不规则变化
有些形容词和副词变最高级时是不规则的。如：good/well —best, many/much— most, bad/badly/ill— worst, little —least, old—oldest/eldest, far— farthest(furthest)。
