①T: Today is Monday, the weather is so nice. If today is Sunday, I will go to the movies. (Write the sentence on the blackboard). What will you do if today is Sunday? 此句为含有if 引导的条件状语从句的复合句，if 引导的句子为从句，而另一句则为主句。if在句中意为“如果，假如”。
if的用法：
a) 引导条件状语从句，“如果”。if引导的条件状语从句既可放主句前，也可放主句后。当if引导的条件状语从句放在主句前，即句首时，从句后面要用逗号与主句隔开。if引导的条件状语从句，主句用一般将来时，if从句用一般现在时表将来。“主将从现”。注意：在与if条件句连用的主句中我们一般用will 表示将来时，而不用be going to 表示将来时。
e.g. If it doesn’t rain tomorrow, I will go to the beach.
b) 引导宾语从句,意为“是否“，可以和whether互换,if从句的时态根据具体语境而定。
e.g. I don’t know if he will come tomorrow.我不知道他明天是否会来。
