In France, Christmas dessert is a kind of cake filled with butter cream.
Most Asian countries have their special food to welcome the coming year.
In southern parts of India, there is a three-day festival in around January 14th called Pongal. It includes a dish of rice cooked with sugar that is shared with families and friends.
