（1）—What’s the date today?—今天几月几日？
—It’s May 5th. —五月五日。
（2）—What day is (it) today? —今天是星期几？
—It’s Sunday. —星期日。
【重要句型和表达法】
1. 特殊疑问句：用疑问词引导的疑问句为特殊疑问句。回答特殊疑问句不能用Yes或No。
(1)what引导的特殊疑问句基本结构：
询问日期:—What is / What’s the date today?
—It is January 1st today.
询问星期:—What day is (it) today / tomorrow?
—It is Monday./ It is Tuesday.
(2)when 引导特殊疑问句， 此类疑问句用于引导时间(区别：what time引导的疑问句问的是具体钟点)。如：
—When were you born?
—I was born on June 5th，1995.

②奶奶的生日是什么时候？_______________ is Grandmother’s birthday?

2. My birthday is June fourth. 我的生日是6月4日。
（1）英语中，表达几月几日，用表示月份的名词和序数词。
若要表达“×年×月×日”则按月日年的顺序，日和年之间用逗号隔开。
5月4日： May fourth； May 4th； May the fourth； May 4
2008年8月8日 August eighth, 2008
（2）还可以表达为My birthday is on June fourth.
时间前介词的使用：
a. 在具体某一天前用on
He was born on February 2nd, 1971. 他出生在1971年2月2日。
b. 在某年某月前用in
He will come back in May. 他将在5月回来。
c. 在具体的钟点前用at
I get up at six in the morning. 我早晨六点起床。
d. 在不确定的早上、下午或晚上用in ，在具体的某一天或某天的上、下午用on
I like watching TV in the evening. 我喜欢在晚上看电视。
I met him on the afternoon of May 5th. 我在5月5日下午遇见了他。
e. 在白天 in the day 在夜里 at night
【重点语法】序数词：表示人或事物的次序
由基数词变序数词口诀：
基变序，有规律，末尾加上th；
一、二、三，特殊记 (first，second，third)；
八加h (eighth)，九去e (ninth)，ve要用f替 (fifth，twelfth)；
以y结尾变ie，后跟th莫忘记 (twentieth，thirtieth，fortieth，fiftieth)；
若想表示几十几，只变个位就可以(twenty-first，forty-ninth)
注意：
1. 序数词前要加the，如果序数词前有物主代词或名词所有格则不再用the。
Sunday is the first day of a week. 星期日是一周的第一天。
My first teacher is Miss Li. 我的启蒙老师是李老师。
2. a/an 也能与序数词连用，意为“再一”“又一”相当于another。
Now they have a second child--a son.
现在他们又有了一个孩子——一个儿子。
A third man went into the room. 又有第三个人进入房间。
3. 序数词在句子中可作主语、宾语、表语、定语、同位语或状语。
The first of October is our National Day.
10月1日是我们的国庆节。（作主语）
She was the fifth in the exam. 她考试得第五名。（作表语）
When did you first meet him? 你什么时候和他首次见面？（作状语）
The second man is my brother. 第二个人是我哥哥。（作定语）
