1.教材分析
这是一篇阅读课文,来自人教版八年级上册Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section B 中的2a-2e部分。本阅读语篇围绕卡通(cartoons)?这一电影类型展开,主要讨论了一个为学生熟知的美国卡通形象——米老鼠(Mickey Mouse) ,让学生通过阅读了解卡通片在美国文化中的地位,特别是米老鼠的诞生和成名过程以及人们喜欢它的原因。所以在教学设计中应该把握以Mickey这个卡通人物为主线,从Mickey的诞生、受欢迎原因以及所取得的成就三个方面对文本进行解读。
第一段对米老鼠的诞生的描述是通过时间顺序来叙事的,应该借此对学生强化通过把握信息呈现的时间线索来理解文章的阅读策略。阅读语篇中涉及一些美国文化,还涉及一些长句以及语句的深层表达,需要学生具备一定的文化知识,并在上下文语境中体会语言表达的真实含义。
2.教学设想
B部分主题是以电影为载体,谈论个人喜好。学生在这方面有一定的生活经历和认识,对动词不定式的用法以前也或多或少有一些了解,大多数学生应该愿意运用所学知识表达自己对电影的意见和看法,但也有部分学生可能因基础较差,不敢开口说英语,不愿与其他同学交流。并且,部分电影的英语名称和用来做评价的形容词等有一定难度,不易记忆,可能会影响口语交流和表达。因此应该设计利用教学图片或多媒体课件来展开课堂,并通过询问各类电视节目喜好,以及学习与此相关的基本语言知识点,使学生能初步运用这些语言知识并会发表见解,让学生对各类电影进行评价。教师需要设法调动学生的学习积极性和学习热情,针对不同学生的具体情况,合理设计课堂教学任务,尽量满足不同学生的学习需求。
所以本课时的教学主线设计如下:
3.学习者分析
学生经过七年级一年以及八年级上学期前半阶段的学习,学生的英语学习能力增强,但是阅读能力还有待加强,所以设置的任务还是注重培养学生掌握基本的阅读策略,提高阅读能力。对于一些长难句学生的理解能力还不够,所以应对相关句子进行讲解。具体到本单元,之前三个课时的学习,学生已经对本单元的话题比较熟悉,对相关的基本词汇和句型也已经基本掌握,所以知识方面的问题较少,应该注重对技巧和阅读策略的渗透。
4.教学方法设计
本课主要采用任务型教学法;多媒体辅助教学法;小组合作学习法;问题探究法;讲授法。
由于学生基础较差,学习英语的兴趣不大,过于死板的传统讲授方法激发不起学生的求知欲,所以本科多采用任务型教学方法,结合多媒体的使用和小组合作的学习方法,激发了学生的兴趣,让更多的学生能够参与课堂。对问题的探究可以让学生相互学习,在活动中主动获取知识,有利于增强学生的自信心,提高其学习效率。

教学重点 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式; 用所学表达方式谈论自己喜爱的卡通形象。
教学难点 1.“With”作后置定语; 2.动词“try”的用法。
任务应用 通过了解米老鼠在美国文化中的象征意义,使学生形成思考卡通片背后蕴含的文化意义的习惯进而通过对比不同国家的文化形成一定的跨文化意识。
Teaching procedures
Stage 1: Review (2minutes)
The teacher shows seven pictures on PPT and ask the students how to speak them in English.
Stage 2: Lead-in (3minutes)
T: What kind of movies do you like most ?
S1:I like cartoons.
T: Why?
S1:Because they’re relaxing.
T: What about you?
S2: I like action movies.
T:Why?
S3: Because they are exciting.
T: OK, today I will introduce you a new friend. He is a cartoon character in Disneyland and he is black. He has two large round ears and he is a mouse. Who is he?
Ss: He is Mickey.
T: Do you want to know more information about him?
Ss : Yes.
T: Ok. Today we will continue to learn Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?
Stage 3: Fast reading (3 minutes)
Skimming.
Read 2b quickly and match the information of main idea of each paragraph and finish the time line.
Check the answers with the Students.
Explain Hollywood Walk of Fame on PPT.
T:Hollywood Walk of Fame is a street with a lot of stars. Each star represent a great achievement or success of a film.Mickey is the first cartoon character to have a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.

通过让学生通过在文章中找寻所需关键信息(时间信息),结合略读的阅读策略,使其能够在阅读中把握信息呈现的时间线索,使文章读起来更显条理,对好莱坞星光大道的图片展示也能学生更容易理解其意思。

教学反思:
需要改进的地方:
1.发音还是语气过重,没有美感,需要继续练习语音和语调。
2. 原本设计好的环节,因为紧张或者遗忘而没有进行,比如在读前的活动中就应该强调学生注意养成良好的生活习惯。所以今后还要更加认真地备课,熟悉继续流程,让自己的课堂遗憾少一些。
3. 阅读课的活动没有跳出教材之外,没有对教材更进一步的完善和拓展,没有让学生对自己的生活进行描述,也许是没有时间,但是我原本可以节约出部分时间来进行这个环节。
4. 在激发学生积极思考方面还有欠缺,比如对于一些语言点的运用还是没有放手让学生进行大胆地造句,课堂还是过于为完成教学任务而进行,没有完全以学生为中心。我们完全可以让学生运用自己所学知识来表达自己的思想。
