Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison was a great American inventor. He invented a lot of things. When he was a child, he was interested in science and maths. But he was at school for only three months. His mother herself taught him to read and write. He was very clever and soon he learned a lot. At the age of 10, he built a chemistry lab for himself. And two years later, he began writing his own newspaper. When he was 22 years old, he moved to New York and worked as an inventor.
His inventions changed the world. His success came from his never giving up.
