Step 1. Greetings and Singing an English song
1. Greeting
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Glad to meet you.
2. Sing a song.
Song: “Good morning” or “What is she”.
Through song and poem, students can review to many words and sentence patterns, students are also willing to through this way to review, but unconsciously students have access to the knowledge of the key point of this unit.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Read Story time
Read the Story time with the speaker and then read it in the class.
2. Mike’s family tree
(1) The teacher introduced my family with Mike’s headdress.
Sign Mike’s family tree on the blackboard.

(2) Let the students introduce Mike’s headdress.
(3) Complete the short essay and read the whole class:
Hello, I’m Mike. This is me. This is my father. And this is my mother. I love my father and my mother. This is Tim. He’s my brother. Look, this is Helen. She’s my sister. She’s a student. I love my brother and my sister.
Step 3. Teach the words
1. Teach the words ---grandpa, grandma
(1) Play a game——Riddles

Students spell the word g-r-a-n-d-p-a, grandpa.
T: My father’s father is My grandpa.
Students read sentences.

2. The teacher wears Mike’s headdress:

Let the students try to say that.

T: Look, this is my grandpa...
(for the previous paragraph)
They are my family members.
Show the words “they”.
They all live together.
They all love one another.
Show the sentence and let the students follow it.
3. Read the lyrics to the teacher.
Listen to the song and be familiar with the tune. Then follow the song
4. Letters revision.
Review letters, case pairs, neighbours.

1. Spell the words, try to write them correctly.
