一.Teaching aims:
1.Knowledge aims:
(1)Make sure students can grasp the new words: crossing, turn left, go straight, turn right.
(2)Students can make good use of the sentence pattern: “Where is the …? Turn right here? No, turn left.”
(3)Students can help Chenjie to be a tour guide for Oliver in Beijing.
2.Ability aim:
To develop students using “Where is the …? Turn right here? No, turn left.” and describing the signs smoothly in daily life.
3.Emotional aim:
To let students learn to tell the way.
二.Key points and difficult points:
Key points: Students can master crossing, turn left, go straight, turn right and use the sentence pattern:Where is the …? Turn right here? No, turn left.
Difficult points: students can make use of the sentence pattern smoothly in life and have the ability to tell the way.

Step 1:warm-up (2 mins)
1.Greeting with each other.
2.Let’s chant, then review the words to interest students.
Left, left, left. Let’s turn left.
Right, right, right. Let’s turn right.
Step 2:Presentation
1.Lead-in (6 mins)
(1)Look at the picture and then ask and answer.
T :What’s this?
Ss:It’s a crossing.
T :Where is the Italian restaurant? Turn right here?
Ss:No ,turn left.
T :How can I get to the park?
Ss:Turn right.
T :How can I get to the bookstore?
Ss:Go straight.
Step 3:Drill (12 mins)
1.Watch and repeat. Teacher plays the video, students watch and repeat the learning.
2.Look and say and then play games to tell the way.
3.Let’s sing a chant. 教师播放课件,学生看课件,唱歌谣。
Crossing, crossing, it’s a crossing.
Turn left, turn left. Let’s turn left.
Turn right, turn right. Let’s turn right.
Go straight, go straight. Let’s go straight.
Step 4:Practice (15 mins)
1.Be a tour guide. Teacher show students the pictures of the Beihai Park, Tian’anmen, the Palace Museum. Based on the tips to find where you are.
Now we are in front of Tian’anmen.
Go straight and you can see the Palace Museum.
Turn left and go straight, and then you can see the Beihai Park.
2. Practice to fill in the blanks based on the signs..
