高中英语必修三第五单元词阅读
Analysis of the teaching materials and students
The topic of the Unit is Canada-some students’(Li Daiyu her cousin Liu Qian and their friend Danny Lin) travelling experience in Canada. Through studying, students can get a general knowledge about Canada, including the geography, characteristics of different big cities and cultures. The text describes a trip across Canada by train. Words lay very important foundation for the students’ reading. Therefore, I’ve asked students to learn and read the words of the passage correctly before class. In the class, I focus on teaching and practicing the reading skills including skimming and scanning, meanwhile, obey the law of language in-put and out-put and encourage students to express themselves with the knowledge and language learned in the reading part.
The students have been divided into 6 groups before class and the group cooperation is along the course of learning. It’s helpful to arouse the interest and reduce the difficulties of learning. I think students can show their learning ability or realize their disadvantage in learning during the course of group cooperation.
