本单元重点学习学校设施和位置的描述以及there be句型的用法,话题以介绍学校内的设施名称展开,要求学生能够使用功能结构:
教学目标
Is/ Are There…? Yes, There is/ are. What in the…? There is a…介绍各自的学校,掌握There be句型的单复数形式以及“某处有某物”的表达方法。

课前准备
本单元单词卡片、人物头饰、磁带、 录音机。
教学过程
Step 1. Leading in.
1. questions and answers;
Review:
--What' s in our classroom?
--There is/ are…in our classroom.
--Is there/ Are there…in our classroom?
--Yes, there is. / No, there isn't.
--Yes, there are. / No, there aren't.
Instruct the students to practice their oral English.
2. Pay attention to the use of singular and plural and the correct expression of some and any.
Step 2. Let' s learn more.
Students look at pictures and cooperate to understand Part B:Let' s learn more.
Dialogue 1:
-Look, Grandpa! This is our school gate.
-What' s in your school?
-There is a big playground in our school.
Dialogue 2:
-What' s in the library?
-There are some desks and chairs.
-Are there many books in it?

2. Emphasize what is a question pronoun, guide special questions, usually put in the first sentence.

The students are free to observe the pictures and talk about the pictures.
3. Listen to the tape and read the Let' s learn more, and repeat the reading. The group works together to replace the words in the key sentences. Welcome to our school.

Step 3. Read a story.
Listen to the tape, understand the story and answer the questions.
Who' s in the story?
What does the crow want?
Is there any water in the bottle?
Does the crow drink the water?
The teacher plays the Read a story, and the students follow it.
Water is an uncountable noun;
A little is used to modify an uncountable noun.
Encourage students to cooperate and imitate the pronunciation and intonation and pauses of Read a story on tape to see who imitates the most image.
Step 4. Homework.
Write the sentences in this lesson correctly and use the sentences to talk about the school facilities.
