课前准备

教学过程
Step 1. Greeting and Warm-up
Greeting
Play a guessing game "say and guess" to let students guess who is he or she.
Step 2. Review
Let students look at teacher.
Lead students to review the words: tall, short, long hair, short hair, big eyes.
Step 3. New concept
Show a photo of a family.
Ask them who are they one by one to learn new words (aunt, uncle, kid, friends).
Act the words like old,young, thin and strong.
Let some students to act.
Step 3. Practice
let students classify the words(aunt, uncle, kid, friends, thin, strong, old, young).
teacher describe the pictures and students say the orders of them.
Step 4. Speaking
Show a picture of a girl and teach them sentences.
1. She comes from the USA. She speaks English and she can speak a little Chinese.
2. She looks tall and thin.
let students turn to P.55 and read after the tape.
Step 5. Let’s say
Let students describe themselves in their group.
Let some students say in the front of the class(Who wants to try?).
Step 6. Homework
1. Review the words and sentences.
2. Practice and make the sentences using the words we learned today.
