本单元教学共分为2课时,本课是第二课时,为会话教学,要求学生在学习重点词汇的基础上能够理解和运用对话。
教学目标
本节课是保护环境的话题拓展,需要理解 much, many的含义及用法,掌握there be句型,掌握ee 及ea 的发音变化规则。

2. 通过对Look, group, write and say部分的学习,让学生初步感知many much 及There be这一句型,提高学生对这些词及句型的运用能力。

教学过程
1. 课程导入(Leading In)
教师展示所准备的地球仪,引导学生观察,从而引出本节课话题:
T: Hello, boys and girls. Look at the earth. We live on the earth. It’s our home. It’s our mother earth. Where do we live, can you point it out?
2. 阅读理解
听Let’s learn more 的录音,判断对错
( )1. There are mountains, trees and flowers on the earth.
( ) 2. We live on the earth with many animals.
( ) 3. We should cut down more trees.
( ) 4. We make all the water dirty.
( ) 5. We should care for the animals.
教师让学生勾画出各自在阅读课文时遇到的不熟悉的词语,先请同学们根据语境猜猜这些词语的意思,之后教师解疑答惑,讲解短语care for, do bad things to.
care for关心、爱护;如:
Alice has a white rabbit and she cares for it.
do bad things to对……做坏事,损坏……;如:
We are friends. We shouldn’t do bad things to each other.
3. Look, group, write and say
1. 教师引导学生认真观察图片,想一想图中的花、草、人、船等物品应该用much和many哪个词修饰,并进行分类。
参考答案:much: grass, water
many: trees, flowers, boys, girls, boats, ice-creams
2. 教师随机点选学生用There is much…和There are many ...造句。如:
There is much water in the lake.
There are many boats on the lake.
让学生以组为单位讨论many, too many, much,too much的用法,最后由教师进行汇总概括。
教学小贴士
many, much, too many, too much 的用法
1. many和much都表示“许多”。但many修饰可数名词,much修饰不可数名词。many和much都可以用a lot of替换,但a lot of一般用于肯定句中。如:
There are many people in the park during the holidays.
There is much milk and juice in the fridge.
2. too many, too much表示强调,意为“太多”。用法与many,much 基本相同,不同的是too much可作副词短语,用来修饰动词。如:
I eat too much, so I don’t feel good. (修饰动词eat)
There is too much bread on the table. (修饰名词bread)
I’m very busy today, because I have too many things to do.(修饰名词things)
4. Think and draw
(1) 教师让学生看着左边的图片,解释设计意图。
(2) 教师请学生发挥想象,设计一幅有关环境保护的海报。
5. Let’s chant
(1) 教师播放录音中的“读词”部分,学生边听词边复习本节课所学的短语及shouldn’t和should的用法。
(2) 教师播放录音中的“说唱”部分,让学生有节奏地跟读模仿。
(3) 教师带领学生一起说唱Part B部分的歌谣,在轻松愉快的氛围中激发学生的学习兴趣。
6. Read the words
(1) 教师播放Read the words部分的录音,要求学生跟读,教师注意纠正[i:]和[e]的读音。
(2) 教师引导学生归纳总结字母组合ee, ea在单词中的读音规律。

字母组合ee,ea在重读音节中多发长音:[i:],如课本上出示的单词:see, tea等。[i:]的发音过程同元音字母e的字母音,发音时双唇扁平,舌的中部抬起,发长音。
字母组合ea在重读音节中还可发短音[e],如课本上给出的单词:head, bread等。[e]的发音过程同元音字母e在重读闭音节中发的短音,发音时口半开,舌的中部稍稍抬起,发短音。
(3) 教师要求学生尝试读Try to read more部分新单词,感知字母组合ee, ea在单词中的发音。
(4) 教师播放Try to read more部分的录音,学生跟读单词。
7. Homework
1. 根据本单元所学加上自己的见解,以“Care for the Earth” 为题写一篇。
