have a great time意为“过得愉快”,相当于have a good/pleasant/nice/wonderful time或enjoy oneself/have fun。
We had a great time at the party yesterday evening.昨晚我们在聚会上玩得很愉快。
We had a pleasant time together on New Year’s Eve.除夕,我们在一起玩得挺高兴的。

take the bus意为“乘公共汽车”。 take 作“乘,坐”解时,后面跟 bus, train, plane, taxi 等表示交通工具的名词。take 乘(车、船等),强调具体的动作或某一班次、某一路车等,结构为“take+限定词+交通工具”,是动词短语,位于句中。限定词有:冠词a/an/the,指示代词this/that 和物主代词my, your, his, her等。

It was too late and she took a taxi home.天太晚了,她乘出租车回家了。 【拓展】(1)“by + 有关交通工具的名词(bus, train, plane等)”表示凭借某种交通工具,是介词短语,常位于句末。

=The girls took a bus to Shanghai EXPO Garden.女孩们乘坐公交车去了上海世博园。
(2)in/on+限定词+交通工具”表示具体的交通方式,作状语,一般来说无厢、无舱的只用on,如:on the bike,其他的既可用in,也可用on,如:on/in the plane,但car用于该结构时只能用in不能用on。还有一个特例,就是“步行”用on foot。

◆if引导条件状语从句。这种从句可位于主句之前,也可位于主句之后,如果主句为一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时表示将来。

【拓展】 talk to对……说话,跟……谈话,相当于speak to,强调单方面行为。talk with与……交谈,相当于have a word with,强调双方的行为。

【辨析】 exciting, excited
(1) exciting令人兴奋的,用于形容感情方面影响他人的人或事,主语一般是物或用来修饰物,在句中作表语或定语。
The news is so exciting that we can’t go to sleep.这个消息让我们兴奋得无法入睡。
This is an exciting book.
这是一本令人激动的书。
(2)excited为形容词,表示“兴奋的”,多指人受到事物的影响,主语一般是人或用来修饰人,在句中作表语。
