此外，当not only ... but (also) ... 连接两个代词或名词作主语时，谓语动词要与but (also)后的代词或名词在数上保持一致。如：

在句子中都可以用作定语或表语，但它们的意思和在句中的用法有差异。 excited意为兴奋的，一般修饰人；而 exciting 意为令人感到兴奋的，一般修饰物。例如：

rush用作名词，意为“勿忙；繁忙”
