1. Analysis of the Students

Lesson 20 is the second lesson in Unit 4, Book 9.This unit focus on the subject Did You Have a Nice Trip? Lesson 20 mainly talks about Jenny goes home. His father and he are talk about his trip, it asks students master the past tense.

Step 1. Warm-up

Step 2. Presentation and practice
Learn the text.
Read the text and circle the new words in the conversation.
Answer the question: What gift did Jenny have for her mother?
Check the answer: A scarf.
Enjoy the conversation: teacher show the video.
Read the conversation with the tape.
2. Learn the words about past tense.
(1) Enjoy the video what Jenny do.
(2) Find the differences between the verbs.
(3) Teach the past tense of the verb.
(4) Practice the words.
(5) Write them down twice.
3. Practice
(1) Say the words what Danny do last Saturday.
Teacher show the picture what Danny do, then students discuss in groups.
