1. Analysis of the Students
The students of Grade5 have mastered certain vocabularies, expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English as well as act the dialogue out.
2. Analysis of Teaching Content
Lesson 5 is the fifth lesson in Unit 1, Book 9.This unit focus on the subject A Trip to Beijing, Lesson 5 mainly talks about something what the trip need before they traveled, this lesson to master the students can describe the clothes.

1. To master the words: this, that, these, those.
2. To master the sentence: I like... , I don’t like... .

Improve the students’ ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students’ ability of using synthetic language.

Students can describe the clothes with the sentences “ I like...”, and “ I don’t like...”.
【教学难点】
Students can master the words “ those ”, and “ these ”.

Step 1. Warm-up
Greeting：
T: Hello，everyone. How are you?
Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?
T: I`m fine , thanks. Nice to see you again.
Ss: Glad to see you again.
Sing the song: I love coffee.
Step 2. Presentation and practice
Lead in: free talk.
How’ the weather today?
What are you wearing?
Show the pictures and learn the words about clothes.
Read the words.
Read the conversation and circle the new words.
Learn the word “ticket”.
Read the conversation again and answer the questions:
What do they need for the trip?
What clothes does Li Ming need?
Check the answers.
Read the conversation.
Read the conversation in “I like these trousers” and answer the questions:
What clothes does Li Ming like?
What’s Li Ming’s favourite colour?
Check the answers.
Read the conversation.
Practice the sentences and the words “this”, “that”, “these”, and :those:
Teacher show the clothes and tell students what I like.
T: Look at these clothes, I like this shirt, and I don’t like these socks. What about you?
