1. Analysis of the Students
The students of Grade5 have mastered certain vocabularies, expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English as well as act the dialogue out.

Lesson 8 is the second lesson in Unit 2, Book 9.This unit focus on the subject In Beijing, Lesson 8 mainly talks about Tian’an men Square. This lesson describe Tian’an men Square what they see. It asks students to master the words and sentences to express our mind.

Step 1. Warm-up
Greeting：

Step 2. Presentation and practice
Lead in:
Teacher show the picture of Tian’an men Square. And ask students where it is.
Describe Tian’an men Square.
Show the first picture: Tian'an men Square is very big! Tian'an men Square is beautiful! There are many people here.
Show the second picture: some people are taking pictures.
Then practice the phrase taking pictures.
Show the third picture: some children are playing.
Show the fourth picture: The children are singing loudly.
Then practice the word “loudly”.
Show the fifth picture: Look! There is an old man. He is flying a kite.
Watch the video and answer the questions.
