教材分析
1. Analysis of the Students
The students of Grade5 have mastered certain vocabularies, expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English as well as act the dialogue out.
2. Analysis of Teaching Content
Lesson 11 is the fifth lesson in Unit 2, Book 9.This unit focus on the subject In Beijing, Lesson 11 mainly talks about shopping in Beijing. They go to Wangfujing Street to buy something. It asks students to master the words and sentences to express our mind.
教学目标
【知识目标】
To master the words: scarf, cap, sit, wait, maybe, really.
To master the pronounce of the letter “u”, “c”, “l”.
【能力目标】
Improve the students’ ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
【情感目标】
Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students’ ability of using synthetic language.
【教学重点】
Students can master the words .
【教学难点】
Students can describe what do they want to buy for their family.
课前准备

教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up
Greeting:
T: Hello,everyone. How are you?
Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?
T: I`m fine , thanks. Nice to see you again.
Ss: Glad to see you again.
Let’s sing the song of last class we’ve learned.
Step 2. Presentation and practice
Lead in:
Teacher show the picture of Wangfujing Street. And ask students where it is.
T: Danny, Jenny, Li Ming and Mrs. Li are shopping on Wangfujing Street. What do they buy? Let’s listen to the tape.
Learn the text.
Listen to the tape and answer the questions.
Does Danny go shopping?
What does Jenny buy?
Is Danny busy?
What does Danny buy?
Check the answers. Meanwhile practice the new words with the pictures.
Watch the video.
Read the text.
Practice in groups, then act it out.
Show time.
Step 3. Consolidation
Practice the conversation in groups.
Make a new dialogue in groups.
Show time.
Group work: tell us what you will buy for your family.
Write the letter for us.
Read your letter.
Letters and sounds:
Read the words by the students.
Discuss in groups: What’s the sound of these letters.
Teacher summary the sounds.
Read the words together.
Step 4. Summary
Choose a student to summarize the knowledge what we have learned.
Step 5. Homework
1. Recite the new words.
2. Make a new dialogue.
