Step 1. Greetings and warm-up activities
Ask the students to answer the questions: How many seasons are there in a year?
What’s your favorite season?
What do you like to do in spring/summer/fall/winter?
Step 2. Watch the cartoon and answer the questions
T: What’s your favorite season? (课文导入)
Questions: What does the first boy like to do in winter?
What does the second boy like to do in spring?
What does the third boy like to do in summer?
What does the forth boy like to do in autumn?
Step 3. Listening and vocabulary
Play the recording in part 1.
Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
Check the answers with the whole students.
Step 4. Let’s do it
Ask the students to fill in the blanks in PPT.
Step 5. Speaking
Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions in the pictures.
A: What is your favorite season?
B: My favorite season is winter.
A: Why do you like winter?
B: Because I like the snow.
A: What do you like to do in winter?
B: I like to skate.
Step 6. Homework
Copy the words and text of Lesson 11.
Recite the text well and practice the words.
