Step 1. Greetings and warm-up activities
Ask the students to sing a song: Happy New Year.
Step 2. Watch the cartoon and answer the questions
T: Did you have fun at Christmas, Li Ming? Yes. The Christmas holiday was fan. (课文导入)
Questions: Did Li Ming have a special holiday in China?
What is Li Ming’s favorite holiday?
What does Li Ming do for the Spring Festival?
Step 3. Listening and vocabulary
Play the recording in part 1.
Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
Check the answers with the whole students.
Step 4. Let’s do it
Ask the students to answer the questions in PPT.
Step 5. Speaking
Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions in the pictures.
A: What holiday do you know?
B: The Spring Festival.

Step 6. Homework
Copy the words and text of Lesson 19.
