教学过程
Step 1. Greetings and warm-up activities
Ask the students to sing a song: Happy New Year.
Step 2. Watch the cartoon and answer the questions
T: In China, we always clean the house for the Chinese New Year. (课文导入)
Questions: What is Jenny going to do?
What is Li Ming going to do?
What is Danny going to do?
Step 3. Listening and vocabulary
Play the recording in part 1.
Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
Check the answers with the whole students.
Step 4. Let’s do it
Ask the students to answer the questions in PPT.
Step 5. Speaking
Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions in the pictures.
A: What holiday do you know?
B: The Spring Festival.

B: I will make dumplings and play fireworks.
Step 6. Homework
Copy the words and text of Lesson 21.
Recite the text well and practice the words.
