Step 1. Greetings and warm-up activities
Ask the students to answer the questions: How many seasons are there in a year?
What’s your favorite season?
What do you like to do in spring/summer/fall/winter?
Step 2. Watch the cartoon and answer the questions
T: Today is Friday, November ninth, Jenny and Li Ming are getting ready for school. (课文导入)
Questions: What day is today?
What are Jenny and Li Ming doing?
What does Jenny’s mother say?
Step 3. Listening and vocabulary
Play the recording in part 1.
Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
Check the answers with the whole students.
Step 4. Listen, read and retell
1. Play the recording in part 2.
2. Play it again and check the answers. Ask some students to correct the wrong ones.
Put the students into groups to practice the dialogue. The students repeat it several times, changing roles each time.
Step 5. Speaking
Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions in the pictures.
A: What do you wear in winter?
B: I wear a coat.
A: What do you like to do in winter?
B: I like to skate.
A: Do you like winter?
B: Yes, I do.
Step 6. Homework
Copy the words and text of Lesson 7.
Recite the text well and practice the words.
