This is the second lesson in this unit. The main topic is skating, so improving the students’ abilities of listening and talking about the topic of skating is very important.

教学过程
Step 1. Greetings and warm-up activities
Ask students to find out the mistakes in the sentences: It’s hot in spring.
Fall is cold.
What a cold, snow day.
I like to ski on the ice.
Step 2. Watch the cartoon
T: Danny is going to teach Li Ming to skate, but he is late. (课文导入)
Step 3. Listening and vocabulary
Play the recording in part 1.
Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
Check the answers with the whole students.
Put the students into groups to practice the dialogue and ask the students to make up questions use the structures: Can you…?
Step 4. Speaking
Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions in the pictures.
A: What do you wear in winter?
B: I wear a coat.
A: What do you like to do in winter?
B: I like to skate.
A: Do you like winter?
B: Yes, I do.
Step 5. Let’s do it
Ask the students to chant: Stand up. Turn left. Turn right. Walk slowly. Walk quickly. Run fast. Skate, ski. Walk forwards. Walk backwards. Turn around. What am I doing? What is Danny doing?
Step 6. Homework
Copy the words and text of Lesson 8.
Recite the text well and practice the words.
