教学分析
1. 学生分析
本年段的大部分学生活泼好动,好奇心强,喜欢表现自己。从四年级开始,知识由简单到复杂,从低年级的形象思维向高年级的抽象思维过渡,这对学生提出了更高的要求,在保证孩子掌握基础知识的同时,还要拓展孩子的思维,引导孩子从不同角度去考虑问题。
2.教材分析
本课是通过新学年开学师生们见面情景呈现本课学习。通过新老师、新学生与大家见面,师生之间作自我介绍的情景,让学生感知核心句型的语义和语用情景。本课的教学目标是学生能够理解对话大意;能够在情景中运用核心句型;能够简单描述人物的外貌特征;能够在语境中理解新词,并能正确发音。通过有效的对话教学培养学生说的能力,提高会话技巧,培养学生初步运用语言的能力。
教学目标

①学生能够听懂、会说、认读和书写单词new, Mr., nice, meet, fine, pupil.
②学生能够认读、理解并运用句式:What’s your name? My name is...
How are you? Fine, thanks.
Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too.

通过丰富有趣的活动,让学生体会到学习英语的乐趣,并感受在日常生活中如何运用英语,学会与他人合作和交流。

教学过程
Step 1:Greeting and lead in
1. Greeting 问候
2. Free talk: 师生交流,讨论新学年。
T: In this class, I’m your new English teacher. My name is Zhao Jing. You can call me Miss Zhao. Now we are in Grade 4.This is our new school year. Do you have new teachers or new friends this new school year?
(设计意图:师生交流谈论新学期的新老师,新同学等自然引入单词new,以及本课标题A New School Year,为本课的文本教学做准备。)
Step 2. Presentation and practice 1.A new teacher
①Show the picture of Mr. Wood and ask some questions.出示教室场景图片,让学生对伍德老师的外貌特征进行描述,并说出还想了解伍德老师的哪些信息,自由提问。
T: Jenny and Danny are in Grade 4. They have a new friend. Look! He is coming! What do you know about him from the picture?
S: He is tall. He is thin. He has short hair.
T: What else do you want to know about him?
S: What’s his name? Is he a teacher? How old is he? ...
(设计意图:遵循这个年龄段学生好奇心强的特点,鼓励他们多角度、多方向、提出问题,激活学生思维,有助于培养学生的语言思维能力的开放性,激发学生的求知欲,调动全体学生的积极性。)
②Watch the video and find the answers.以课件整体呈现对话。学生观看课文视频,寻求答案。
③Role-play. 学生扮演老师,进行师生对话。
T: Now I’m Mr. Wood. I’m your new teacher. You can call me Mr. Wood. Who want to be Mr. Wood?
2. A new pupil
①Watch the video, know about the new friend. 以课件整体呈现对话,认识新同学。
T: Mr. Wood takes a new friend. Let’s meet him.
②Listen to the dialogue and learn the new word::pupil.听课文对话学习新词,引导学生认读新词pupil并板书, 让学生在情境中理解pupil和student的区别。
(设计意图:坚持在语境中呈现词汇,努力做到情境中教学)
③Listen and repeat.学生静听一次录音,并逐句跟读。教师提示注意模仿说话者的语气及句子的升降调,教师板书核心句型,
(设计意图:通过对话的听读操练,增强对目标语的输入,在大输入量的基础上,为后续的输出做准备。)
3. Group work: Role-play学生设计新学期开学情景,学生小组合作,编创对话。
T: Do you want to be a new teacher or a new pupil? Introduce your friends to them.
(设计意图:通过小组活动使学生能在一定的情景中操练本课重点句型,让学生在交流体验中进行语言操练,巩固新知识,使不同程度的学生都能参与活动,引导学生在小组内的互相帮助,合作学习。)
Step 3.Consolidation and extension
Show and introduce my teacher. 出示老师的英语老师并作介绍。
T: This is my English teacher. Her name is Shelly. She is tall. She is 67years old. She has short black hair. She is very kind. I miss her.
②Draw the picture of the teachers. Introduce your favourite teacher. 出示学生各学科教师照片,先同桌结对介绍自己最喜欢的老师,再个别介绍。
③Write something about your favourite teacher. 学生借助语言支架,对老师的外貌特征进行简单描述。
T: What does your teacher look like? Write something about your favourite teacher.
④Introduce your teacher and others guess : Which one is his/her teacher? 一名同学介绍,其它同学根据外貌特征猜测哪一个是他/她最喜欢的老师。
T:Introduce your favourite teacher and let’s guess which one is your favourite teacher?
(设计意图:充分挖掘学生身边的资源,通过猜测游戏,加强目标语的训练,加大语言的输入和输出量,使课堂教学充满活力)
Step 4. Homework
