Step 2. 祈使句的直接引语和间接引语
1)如果祈使句是表示命令时,间接引语的动词常用told, asked, warned, ordered 等
即:told/asked/ warned/ordered sb. (not)to do sth.
例如:
1.“Open the window.” he said to me. → He told me to open the window.
2. “Please be careful not to wake up the sleeping boy,” she said.
→ She asked me/us to be careful not to wake up the sleeping boy.
3. Father said to him, “Go away!” →Father ordered him to go away.
2)如果祈使句是表示请求或建议时, 间接引语的动词常用ask
即:asked sb.(not) to do sth.
例如:
1.“Would you mind opening the window,” he asked me. → He asked me to open the window.
2. Mary said to me, “Can you help me” → Mary asked me to help her.
注意:直接引语如果是以“Let’s”开头的祈使句, 变为间接引语时, 通常用“suggest +
动名词。
例如:He said, “Let’s go to the film.” →He suggested going to the film.
总结祈使句直接引语变间接引语:
