教材分析
This is the seventh lesson in this book. The main topic is date, so improving the students’ abilities of listening and speaking about questions and answers to dates.
教学目标
【知识目标】
1. 能听说读写单词:April, May, July, August, year, dinner, month, date, count.
2. 理解掌握短语:for example, have a good time.
【能力目标】
能听懂、会用“What’s the date today?” 询问日期,并能运用所学词汇灵活作答。
--What’s the date today?
--It’s June 2nd.
【情感目标】
1. 在情景创设中培养学生合作学习的能力。
2. 通过多种形式的游戏和活动,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
3. 通过本课的学习加强同学间的了解,同时加深对西方文化的了解。
教学重难点
【教学重点】
1. 掌握本单元新词及词组。
2. 能在情景中替换句型中的日期短语进行替换练习,并能与他人进行交流。
【教学难点】
1. 能掌握日期的表示方法。
2. 句型:
--What’s the date today?
--It’s June 2nd.
--When is your birthday?
--My birthday is on April 12th.

教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up
1. 与学生以生日为话题,介绍今天的日题、天气状况等内容。
  T: What day is it today?
  Ss: Today is Monday.
  T: What’s the date today?
  Ss: It’s March 22th.
  T: What’s the weather like?
  Ss: The weather is cool. I can go climbing. And I can fly kite, too.
  T: My birthday is in March when is your birthday.
  叫几个同学来询问。
2. 出示数字卡片,让学生将基数词和序数词分类。并且齐读。
Step 2. Listening and vocabulary
Play the recording in activity 1 and ask the students to listen and read the new words.
Step 3. Presentation
Explain the vocabulary and let the students do the replacement exercises according to the key sentence patterns in this class
Step 4.Grammar
1. 新内容展示:
  T: I was born in autumn, I was born on September 20th.
  When were you born? I was born on May 1st(板书)
  师生问答练习:When were you born?
  I was born on_____。
  强调在具体的某天前要用介词on,在季节,年,月前要用介词in.
  对比:I was born in autumn.
  I was born on September 20th.
2. 生生互动:问答接龙,练习句子:
--When were you born?
--I was born …
Step 5 Practice
老师出示日历,让学生看着日历进行问答练习。
What’s?the?date?today?
What?was?the?date?yesterday?
Step 6. homework
1. 书写单词和句子,背诵课文。
2. 关于生日话题的交流和运用。
教学反思
用学过的知识导入新课,学生会对新课内容更容易理解,且设置了较多替换练习,有利于学生掌握新课句型,但本节课的练习内容多为替换下练习,不易发挥学生的创造性。
