After graduating from high school, I didn’t go directly to
university. Instead, I spent a year travelling around the world.
I started my trip in London, the UK. I saw the Big Ben and
visiting the amazing churches. From there, I flew to Paris, and went
down to the south of France, I enjoyed the lovely beaches there.
Next, I flew to India, and travelled around the country for about
three months. Although the cities were crowded, the countryside was
beautiful. I stayed in a small fishing village by the sea and it was
the happiest time of my life.
I then came to China, a country I had always wanted to visit. I
visited Beijing, of course, and climbed up the Great Wall. I also
took a trip to see some villages where I learned a lot about Chinese

yes, it was good to be home again!

If you go into the woods with friends, stay with them. If you
don't, you may get lost. If you do get lost, though, this is what
you should do.
Sit down and stay where you are. Don't try to find your
friends--let them find you. You can help them find you by staying in
one place.
There is another way to help your friends or other people nearby
to find you. Give them a signal by shouting or whistling(吹口哨)
three times. Stop. Then shout or whistle three times again. Any
signal given three times is a call for help.
Keep up the shouting or whistling, always three times together.
When people hear you, they will know that you are not just making
noises for fun. They will let you know they have heard your signal.
They will give you two shouts or two whistles. When a signal is
given twice, it is an answer to the call for help.
If you don't think that you will get help before night comes, try
to make a little house--cover up the holes with branches and lots of
leaves, and make yourself a soft bed with leaves and grass.
What should you do if you get hungry or need drinking water? You
would have to leave your little branch house to look for a stream.
Don't just walk away. Pick off small branches and drop them as you
walk so that you can find your way back.
The most important thing to do when you are lost is to stay in
one place.
1. What should you do if you get lost in the woods?
A. I should stay where I am and give a signal three times.
B. I should walk around the woods and shout so that my friends might
hear me.
C. I should try to find my friends as soon as possible.
D. I should try to get out of the woods and shout for help.
2. What should you do to let people believe that you are not just
making noises for fun?
A. I should shout that I am lost.
B. I should keep up the shouting or whistling, always three times
together.
C. I should shout at the top of my voice.
D. I should shout or whistle once in a while.
3. When you hear shouts or whistles or gun shots, you know
that people will soon come to help you.
A.two B. three C. four D. five
4. When you are lost in the woods but you want to leave your place
to get water, what should you do?
A. Just go to the stream.
B. Find a container(容器), and then go to the stream.
C. Make a fire so that I might make myself some hot tea.
D. Leave marks(记号) as I go to the stream so that I can find my way

Good morning, boys and girls. Today I'll talk about going online.
We know that there are too many net bars around us. The Internet
can make our lives interesting and enjoyable(愉快的). Many of us
like going online'very much because we can learn how to use the
computer. We can learn English and read some newspapers and'
magazines to know more around us. It can make us clever in playing
computer games. Also when we send emails to our friends, they can
get them at once. It can help us contact people from all over the
world.
But some students spend too much time in playing computer games
and some stay in the net bars all day and all night. Some girls even
get to have boyfriends or some boys get to have girlfriends online.
They write too many letters to each other. It takes them too much
time to chat online so they do worse in their lessons and they don't
study well any more. I think we mustn't go online when it is time
for us to study. We can do it in summer or winter holidays. I think
we should go online with our teachers or parents.
At the same time, if we have lots of free time, we can do some
activities after class. We usually have activities from 4.50 to 5:50
in the afternoon. We can play basketball or football. We also have
some interest groups in school, such as drawing, singing and dancing.
We can go to the English corner on Monday afternoon. We hope we can
spend more time on our subjects or on such activities that we can
learn a lot from and less time on the Internet.
A speech about going online
Advantages Make our lives interesting and make us 1 our
lives. Learn how to use the computer and can get more
information. Send emails to our friends 2
Help us get in touch with people from all over the
world.
Disadvantages It 3 too much time to play computer games.
Some students write too many letters to each other and
spend too much time 4 online so they do worse in
