2. I'm tidy, but Gina is not.
（2）but意为“但是”，作并列连词，表示转折关系，可连接两个单词或句子。
and意为“和；与；而且”，作并列连词，表示并列关系可连接两个单词或句子。
我很整洁，但吉娜不是。
and和but都是并列连词，用来连接两个单词或句子，但用法却不同。
and
but
用来表示并列关系，意为“……和……” “……以及……” 用来连接并列的词与词、短语与短语、分句与分句。
当and连接两个名词作句子主语时，当复数看待。
表示转折关系, 意为 “但是，然而” 在句中连接前后两个意思相反或相对的句子或单词。
e.g. My radio and tape player are on the desk.
