Activity1: Now let’s have a look. And tell me more about the Great Wall. (播放活动1的视频)

Activity 2: Look. Does Daming live in Haikou? Where is he now? 引出:Daming is visiting the US. He’s in New York with his cousin Simon.
布置任务,让学生读课文第一段,回答问题:What are they doing?
They’re looking at some postcards.
紧接着引出重点句的操练:These ________ are ________.
鼓励学生反复操练句子,看并写一写。
Guessing game: We saw lots of pictures. And look at this one.

接着引出:It’s a picture of the Great Wall. Now please read paragraph two. Then tell me more about the Great Wall.
播放课文动画,让学生视听,并寻找答案。
板书重点句: How long is it?
学习词汇more than, million, kilometre,并造句。
Ask and answer: How long is the Changjiang River/the Yellow River?
继续课文学习:Daming and Simon are talking about the Great Wall and New York. Can you tell me something about New York? How big is it?
让学生带着问题再读课文。
