小朋友们,你们知道吗?“family” 这个词本身就包含了爸爸和妈妈,而且还表达了对他们的爱呢!
把这个单词中的每个字母拆分开就成了: Father and mother, I love you. “爸爸妈妈,我爱你们。”“爸爸妈妈”和“我”在一起就是“家庭”了。
兄弟姐妹
英美家庭中兄弟姐妹之间平时不以brother或sister相称,而是彼此称呼对方的名字或是用其他一些亲近的称呼:如honey, my love 等。
“brother”和“sister”没有年龄大小之别,如big brother不一定是排行第一的哥哥。
如果提起你的兄弟姐妹而且需要区分长幼时,美国人会用older brother/sister表示哥哥/姐姐,英国人则用elder brother/sister来表示,另外little brother/sister在美国可以表示弟弟/妹妹。
