2、教学目标
1、知识目标：
学生能正确使用下列词汇（Curriculum words)： theater, comfortable, seat, screen, close, ticket等；
能正确使用下列常用表达(Useful expressions)：movie theater, comfortable seats, big screens, close to home 等。
2、能力目标：
听：学生能听懂关于电影院特点的描述；说：能表达自己的喜好。
3、情感目标：
学生能学会在交流活动中尊重和理解别人，学会交换不同的看法，增进情谊。
3、教学重点、难点：
1、学生能掌握big, popular, close等词的比较级和最高级。
2、学生熟悉It has +the+形容词最高级+ …/It’s +the +形容词最高级+…最高级句式。
4、教学方法运用：任务型教学法（task-based language teaching method)、交际型教学法（communicative teaching method）、情景交际法（situational teaching method)等。
5、教学手段：多媒体演示、PPT演示、肢体语言的应用。
6、教学过程：
Step 1. Warming up（热身）
Greet the class as usual.
Talk about the weather.
T: How’s the weather today?
T: How was the weather like yesterday? …
Then listen to a movie song.
（电影主题曲欣赏，既可以创造轻松愉快的学习气氛，又能激发学生的好奇心，为学习新课打下伏笔。）
Step 2. Lead-in（导入）
情景导入，利用上述电影主题曲引出电影，展示电影信息的图片和课件，提问并引导学生谈论电影院。如：
Do you know the song? Do you like watching the movie? Look at these pictures, what are these people doing?
引导学生回答出movie theater, comfortable seats等生词，并板书。
Step 3. Pre-listening（听前环节）---1a活动
1、首先领读并解释1a中的短语，然后学生再朗读。
2、要求学生阅读1a题目要求，明确后完成1a练习。提问学生，如果是他们自己要去看电影，选择电影院的标准是什么。
（这一环节可以让学生提前了解听力内容，做好听力准备。）
Step 4. While-listening (听中环节）---1b活动
1、首先介绍听力内容背景。如：Jack’s friend Anna likes watching movies. Jack’s town has three movie theaters.They are Town Cinema, Screen City and Movie World.让学生在书上空白处写出这三个电影院的名称，分别标上A、B、C序号，并能熟练说出，为后面听力降低难度。
2、列出1b表格Qualities栏目中形容词原级、比较级和最高级并板书，big-bigger-biggest, popular-more popular-most popular, close-closer-closest，并示范读音。
3、领读Qualities栏目，帮助学生熟悉描述事物特点、品质的句式It has +the +形容词最高级+…/It’s +the +形容词最高级+…，为后面听并匹配相关电影院的练习做好语言准备。
4、学生听第一遍录音，完成匹配任务。
5、让学生对每一个小栏目用汇报的形式向全班核对答案，如：
S1：Movie world has the biggest screens.
S2: Screen City is the most popular near here.
6、让学生听录音跟读并模仿对话。
（这一听力输入环节帮助学生积累语言素材，增强对话题的理解，为后面的语言输出做好准备。）
Step 5. Post-listening（听后环节）
1、Pair-work
学生两人一组分角色练习1b和1c中的对话。请学生在班上展示、表演对话。
2、Group-work
学生四人一组，根据所学的信息自由谈论自己喜欢的影院并陈述理由，并请几组学生表演。
（此输出环节能让学生充分练习并熟练使用A:What’s the best movie theater? B: XXX, it has the most…的句型。培养学生语感的同时为后面的教学打下基础。）
Step 6. Summary &Homework
请学生代表先总结本节课的主要内容，再一起总结。
本节课作业：学生写一篇短文，介绍一下自己喜欢的影院。
