I. Warm-up.
Daily greetings.
教师走进教室,首先用“Hello”,“Hi”或“Good morning”,“ Good afternoon”分别与全班、男孩、女孩或小组及个人打招呼。
T: Nice to see you again!(引导学生用同样的方式问候)
Ps: Nice to see you, too!
II. Learn the song“Nice to see you again”
1.创设情景,教师引导学生理解大意,并练习“ Nice to see you again!”及其答语“ Nice to see you, too!"
2.进行综合练习。
A: Hello…!
B: Hi…!
A: Nice to see you again!
B: Nice to see you, too!
III.Learn the new words and structures.
Learn the new words“ Canada ,Australia”
(1)教师出示加拿大和澳大利亚的国旗 ,呈现单词
(2)检测不同层次的学生的掌握情况。
(3)通过各种游戏,如听指令出示卡片、听音指卡片,或者“What's missing”综合练习 Canada, Australia, China, the USA和 the UK
Learn the structure “Where are you from? I’m from…”
(1)通过图片复习句型“I’m…(人名) I'm from…(国家或者城市)”
T: I'm Miss /Mr... I’m from China.
(学生用同样的方法进行练习,教师进行检测。)
(2)创设情景并引入句型“ Where are you from?"," I'm from…”,帮助学生理解其大意并进行操练。例:
T: Boys and girls. Today we have a new friend in our class. 教师让一名学生一手拿着印有 Mickey Mouse头像的图片,一手拿美国国旗卡片。
Ps: Yes, It's Mickey Mouse.
T: Mickey Mouse, where are you from?
P1: I’m from the USA.
T: Now boys and girls, please ask Mickey Mouse the same question.
Ps: Mickey, where are you from?
P1: I’m from the USA.
T: Where are you from, boys and girls?
Ps: I'm from China.
双人活动
P1: Where are you from?
P2: I’m from. Where are you from?
P1: I'm from…
教师可告诉学生该句型也可用于问答来自何地,并用教材中提供的四个
直辖市的名称进行练习,如:
A: Where are you from?
B: I'm from Beijing/ Shanghai/ Tianjin/ Chongqing
(教师可鼓励学生用自己所在城市的名称进行练习)
小组活动
教师把学生分成若干小组,每组4—5人,每人持一张国旗图片,然后互相询问对方的国籍,熟悉本课句型。

2. Play the tape, Follow the tape, try to imitate the intonation and pronunciation.

理解 friend的意思
T: Boys and girls, today we have a new friend. 教师让一名学生一手拿印有 Paddington Bear名字的图片,另一手拿英国国旗卡片
It's Paddington Bear.
Paddington Bear. Where are you from?
P1: I’m from the UK.
T: Now boys and girls, please ask Paddington Bear the same question.
Ps: Paddington Bear, where are you from?
P1: I’m from the UK.
教师可以用例子说明 friend的大意: Rose is Tingting’s friend.
通过拥抱和握手的动作或图片,帮助学生理解 new friend和 old friend的大意,并让学生将其翻译成汉语,检测他们的理解是否正确,然后练习。
教师出示新朋友和老朋友的图片,练习 new friend和 old friend。
IV. Learn “Let’s talk”
1. Listen to the dialogue and answer two questions.
Question 1: How many children are there in the dialogue?
Question 2: Who are they?
2. Listen to the dialogue again and answer the following questions.
Question 1: How do Lele and Tingting greet each other? (他们是如何互相问候的?)
Question 2: Why do they greet each other in this way?
注:教师注意引导学生综合掌握第一次见面的问候语: Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you, too.再见面时的问候语: How nice to see you! Nice to see you, too! Nice to see you again!
Listen to the dialogue again and answer the following questions.
T: Who is Tingting’s new friend?
Ps: Rose.
T: Where is Rose from?
Ps: The UK.
T: Where is Peter from?
Ps: The USA
Open the book, please turn to page 4. Read the dialogue after the recording and act out the dialogue in groups.
V. Learn the culture on page 5.
