教学过程
Task 1
Step 1. Warm-up
Watch a cartoon What time do you get up?
Step 2. Pre-listening (1a)
1. Show some different times and help Ss to say out them.
2. Work in pairs and ask and answer the times.
3. Learn new words in 1a and try to understand the conversation.
4. Do 1a. Match the activities with the pictures, then check the answers.
5. Talk about your daily routines and the times in front of the class.
Step 3. While-listening (1b)
1. Listen and match the times with the actions. Draw lines from the clocks to the pictures.
2. Check the answers.
Step 4. Post-listening (1c)
1. Practice the conversation in 1c with the partner.
2. Ss make their own conversations.
S1: What time do you usually …?
S2: I usually … at …

Task 2
Step 1. Pre-listening
1. Look at the picture in 2a and think about the questions:
(1) How many children can you see in the picture?
(2) How many boys are there?
(3) How many girls are there?
2. Read 2b and guess the shower schedule for Jim’s family.
Step 2. While-listening (2a, 2b)
1. Listen to the conversations and complete the sentences, then check the answers with the class.
2. Do 2b, listen and complete the shower schedule for Jim’s family, then check the answers with the class.
Step 3. Post-listening (2c, 2d)
1. Work in pairs and talk about yourself according to the example:
S1: What time do you usually get up?
S2: I always get up at five fifty.
S1: Wow! I never get up so early.
2. Let some pairs act out their conversations.
3. Read 2d and answer the questions:
(1) What are Scott and Interviewer talking about?
A. Scott’s job. B. The time for Scott’s radio show. C. Scott’s daily routines.
(2) When does Scott get up?
(3) Does he usually exercise at about ten?
(4) Why does the interviewer say that it is a funny time to eat breakfast?
4. Practice the conversation with the partner.
5. Language points:
Explain some language points.
6. Consolidation:
Do more exercises to consolidate what they have learned.
Step 4. Homework
1. Review the new words and expressions in this period.
2. Write about something you usually do every day.
