教学设计
教学目标:1.能够听说单词“small ,big, short, long”。
2.能够灵活地运用本课的目标语句“It has...”来介绍相关动物的特征。
教学重点是:听、说、认读单词“big, small, long, short”并学会用它们描述物品。并且能够听懂、会说句型“It is…”和“It has…”,利用句型熟练自如地描述各种动物。
教学难点是:能够区分“It is…”和“It has…”
情感目标:
1. 让学生感受到动物的可爱,教育学生要爱护动物、尊重生命。
2. 培养学生参与教学活动的主动性,提高他们的学习积极性。
教学准备:
多媒体、课件、动物图片、单词卡。
教学步骤:
Step1. Warming up
Brainstorm:
a. Say words as many as possible before the balloons disappear.(animal, body parts, place).
b. The teachers’ words: bird, neck, Africa. (Teach the
words: neck, Africa)
c. Leading in the friend: ostrich.
设计意图:让学生在气球消失以前说出尽可能多的相关单词。通过这个活动调动学生学习热情,激活学生旧知,引出本节课的主人公鸵鸟。
Step2. Presentation
1. Teach the word: big
a. Look at the ostrich. It is big.

4. Teach the word: small

设计意图:根据鸵鸟外貌特点,将四个单词和重点句型融入其中,让学生逐步掌握单词及句型,并用空格逐渐变多的方式让学生学习过程由易到难,由简到繁。
Step 3. Consolidation
a. According to the words and pictures on the blackboard:
Describe the ostrich.
b. Choose the best guide in the class: discuss in groups, then describe the ostrich.
c. Watch a video:
The ostrich and the penguin will have a race, who will be the winner?

设计意图:通过描述鸵鸟的特点,将本节课所学内容进行复习巩固,然后对同样是鸟类的企鹅进行描述,将所学知识进行简单迁移,加深巩固。
Step4. Extension
Describe the animal in groups.
设计意图:将学生分为六组,每组给出一种动物,让学生脱离课本内容对其他动物进行描述,是对本节课所学内容的一次检测,同时小组合作的形式以强带弱,让学生共同进步。然后通过小组展示,激发学生学习的积极性。
Step5. Homework
Choose one animal, and introduce it to your parents.
(选择一种动物,介绍给你父母听)。
设计意图:让学生学以致用,在生活中学会运用已学句型。
