Step1、warming up
1、 Free talk
2、 What’s missing？（少了什么？）
复习已学过的身体部位及形容词。
3、 出示小蝌蚪图片，师问：What are they？生答：小蝌蚪。
Step2、Presentation
1、 由上图导出今天所学新课。接上一问题，师说：Yes，they’re tadpoles. Do you know the story about little tadpoles looking for mum？师说：ok！Today we read this story again. First， look at the question：what do tadpoles‘ mother look like？Now let’s listen story together.
2、 幻灯片出示小蝌蚪遇到鸭妈妈，询问自己的妈妈长得什么样?鸭妈妈给出信息是：white belly。师板书white belly。请同学们重复这一信息：She has white belly。
3、 带着鸭妈妈提供的信息开始找妈妈，首先，他们遇到大白鹅，大白鹅提供的信息是：a big mouth。师板书。领读蝌蚪妈妈的特征的句子。
4、 小蝌蚪又踏上了找妈妈的路程，这次他们遇到了鲤鱼，鲤鱼提供的线索是：four long legs and big eyes，师板书。师领读描述蝌蚪妈妈特征的句子。
5、 接着他们遇到了乌龟，乌龟提示：wears green clothes。
6、 最后他们找到了妈妈。
7、 综合蝌蚪找妈妈的过程，找同学说出蝌蚪妈妈的特征。继续练习描述人物或动物特征的句子。
Step3、Practice
1、 出示鸵鸟图片用It has…句型练习。
2、 调整气氛放松心情齐唱英文歌。
3、 再一次回归故事，师领读。
4、 师生分角色朗读对话。
5、 通过学习故事进行情感渗透，出示图片，倡导孩子们爱护动物，保护环境：Protect the frog！Protect animals！Protect the environment！
