1) I’m sorry, I don’t know a lot, but I know a little. If we travel along the Mekong River, we will pass by Laos and our country, and it will be beautiful along the Mekong River in Laos.
2) If we travel along the Mekong River, we will pass by these countries, China, Laos, Burma, Thailand, Kampuchea and Vietnam.
2. Do you know something about the national flag of Laos?
1) Yes, I know a little. The white circle represents the full moon, which is placed on the blue bar, symbolizing the bright moon hanging over the Mekong River.
2)The national flag of Laos is tricolor, blue represents richness, red represents revolution, and white round wheel represents full moon.
3) The blue represents Laos's rich and beautiful land. Red symbolizes revolution, indicating that the Lao people are willing to defend national dignity at the cost of blood. The white circle symbolizes the unity of Lao People under the leadership of Lao People's revolutionary party and the bright future of the country.
3. What will you see when you travel along the Mekong River?
1) If we travel along the Mekong river, we will see the temples, caves and a waterfall along the river in Laos.
2) If we travel along the Mekong river, we will see a very beautiful scenery, especially in Tibet. And the Mekong River is called “the water of the rocks” in Tibet.

Listen to the passage first, then work in pairs and answer the following questions.
