课题: Wonders of the World
【教材及学生分析】
本课以新世纪英语8A U3 L3 Wonders of the World为素材,课文主要叙述了埃及金字塔的建造时间、原因、大小以及它的意义。本课新单词较少,内容比较简单。作为阅读课的第一课时,通过本节课的学习,要求学生掌握课文相关词汇和句型,理清文章脉络,在理解课文大意的基础上,结合所学过的数字表达来描述一样物体。
本次授课的初二(6)班学生整体学习态度比较积极,基础较为扎实,词汇量较多,预习能力较强,因此课文理解没有多大的问题。

1. 阅读前部分
课堂的导入: 通过展示古代和现代奇观的图片,以及简短的师生互动,引出本课主题:世界奇观。然后结合地图让学生猜谜,引出埃及金字塔。
2. 阅读中部分
为了进一步巩固前一课中的skimming 和scanning这两种阅读方式,先让学生了解每段的大意,然后分三段来进一步了解文本的细节信息,通过回答问题、对话、听读等形式来鼓励学生自信地用所学词汇和句型来表达。
3.阅读后部分
作为整堂课的产出与升华。通过文本学习,小组讨论如何作为一名导游来介绍埃及金字塔,使课文词汇及句型进一步巩固,为写作打好基础做好铺垫。

课后作业作为课堂教学内容的延升。我要求学生在熟读生词和课文的基础上,搜集更多世界奇观的信息。并且在小组内推选一名同学,运用本课句型来介绍某一奇观,并让其他组来猜是什么奇观。从而不断地提升口语表达的丰富性向书面表达过渡,从而为将来的写作打下坚实的基础。
【教学反思】
学生通过本节课的学习,基本掌握了文章相关词汇和句型,理清了文章脉络,在理解课文大意的基础上,学生能通过一些句型的操练对金字塔展开描述。
我在授课过程中有着语用意识,能根据学生的需求提供额外的教学资源,在语言运用角度上下了一番功夫。对课堂教学活动的组织有一定的把控能力。
但是这堂课还是存在不少的问题。我对于时间的把控存在一定的问题,在课堂最后的语言产出环节,应该注意多给学生留有准备的时间,对于学生的发言在反馈上可以再多采用不同的评价方式,让其他的学生多关注发言学生的经验分享,起到激发学生积极性的作用,让更多的学生愿意参与到课堂的讨论和展示环节中来。
【述课内容】(教学设计的说明)
本课内容理解起来比较容易,不过篇幅较长,特别是第二段数字较多,每段有各自的中心思想,所以我想结合U3L2 Reading “the World Expo”中教授的skimming和 scanning这两种方法,先让学生快读课文来了解每段的中心是什么,然后课文分三段来教学,继而帮助学生理解文章脉络和分析细节信息,从而有效的提高学生的综合语言运用能力。
