Effect: Students are interested in this topic, as they are familiar with this topic. So they are eager to learn the text. They want to learn something from the passage. In consideration of the poor listening of students in our class, I designed some listening tasks for students to finish. I think listening needs a lot of practice in daily life. Students can’t finish the task after listening to the passage twice, because they can’t catch the main idea of the material. So we need more practice. After learning the new word, students can understand the text easily after reading it.
