8A M3 Unit 7 Escaping from Gork （Period 1）说课稿
本文为科幻小说，这篇小说有着惊险刺激、引人入胜的故事情节，如何利用情节巧设问题，引导学生探寻故事线索、了解人物性格、理解文字背后的内涵，激发学生想象力，培养他们的思维能力，是我在设计教学环节时最大的挑战。
Escaping from Gork是上一课Caught by Gork的延续，由part III和partIV两部分组成，是上一课时故事的继续推进，全文围绕escape这个字眼展开，还是以Captain King的语气讲述人类如何在未知行星上利用智慧逃离险境并且战胜外星人的冒险故事。通过对本文的阅读，可以鼓励学生充分发挥想象能力，并让学生体会到科幻小说带给人们的乐趣。
本课为本单元的第一课时，旨在新单词与课文大意的理解。因此，我通过问题引导学生进入情境，使学生运用一定的阅读策略从而理解文本，并对主人公的逃生计划进行简单复述，最后引发学生对人物性格的思考与分析，并与现实相结合，思考现实生活中遇到困难或危险，应该如何淡定处理。
具体教学过程如下：
1. 前情回顾&推测剧情
本课时通过对上一单元故事内容的复习，利用美剧中常出现的前情回顾，使学生对Caught by Gork进行复习回顾。并引出本课的核心词汇escape，再对文中出现的图片内容进行预测，激发学生学习兴趣。
2. 理解课文并简单复述
首先，通过扫读全文，为文本的两个部分起标题，Escaping from the cage和Escaping from the cave。再通过排序，使学生对逃出笼子与摧毁Gork的眼睛的过程有大致了解，并在校对答案的过程中，通过上下文语境理解单词。接着教师通过几个主要问题中穿插涉及细节与原因的问题引导学生对文章进行进一步思考。然后让学生在两个跳脱计划中选择一个可行的，并说出可行原因。最后，通过组内接龙的方式，让学生用简单的语句对逃生计划进行复述。
3. 找出关键和小组讨论
通过对nobody名字的理解，找出逃生计划的关键所在，使学生真正理解Captain King的机智之处，并通过小组讨论的形式，联系实际生活，让学生思考，在真实生活中如何应对处理危机。
