Teaching procedures:
Step1: Pre-listening
通过考勤来导入数字话题;图片展示,了解不同情况下,数字的不同用法。
Good morning, boys and girls! What’s the date ,today? What’s the time now? Is everyone here ? And how many students are there in our class today?(学生做出相应的回答,引出数字)
Now let’s look at some pictures. According to Wu Yifan’s height, the price of something and the length of Yangtze river to lead the topic.
Step2:While-listening
Activity 1: A quiz about numbers and circle the correct answers.
Let students skim the numbers,and then listen to the tape carefully and choose the correct answers. When the tape stops ,we will check the answers. (In this part,I mainly check students’ sensibility of numbers through listening.)
Activity2:
Look at the sentences first,and then listen a passage about Ms Mei, and catch the correct numbers about her,fill in the blanks.(In this part,let students consolidate how to use and express the numbers and practise their listening in details.)

Activity 3:Reading
Show the tapescripts, and set some questions, let students read it by themselves,and then answer the questions in the article.

Ms Mei is an English teacher, who is quite knowledgeable. She is from the 70th junior high school of Xi'an. She's about 45years old, but she looks very young. She is 1.58 meters tall.
On October 14th,2008, she gave us a wonderful speech about English teaching. In order to help us get more teaching skills, she gave her telephone number. It is 13576208840. She is so kind that all of us love her.

Step3:Post-listening
Activity1: I showed them two familiar person and their basic information.
Students talk about them in groups.

Others write the numbers they hear.

It’s my great honor to be here to present my lesson. My teaching topic is numbers.It’s a listening & speaking lesson.I will talk about it by 4 parts.
Part1: The analysis of teaching material
Status&fun_ction
My topic is unit 2 numbers, from the oxford English Grade 8A. We learned about numbers before. In this lesson, we talk about how to use the numbers in different areas&different situations. If the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to read the telephone number,the date, length, time ,price, etc. It’s related to our daily life closely, so it’s very practical.
Teaching aims:

After class,the students can understand & express the different numbers;

After class,students enable to read the telephone number, the date, length, time,price,etc fluently ;
Emotion aim:
Let students realize how to use the the numbers in different areas & different situations;
Teaching key & difficult points:
Let students enable to read the telephone number,date,length,time,price,etc. correctly;
Through the listening materials, to consolidate how to express and use the various numbers;
Part 2: The analysis of teaching students
Their English learning level are different from each other. Most of them are poor in English. They need teachers’ help and encouragement in their further study.
Part 3:The analysis of teaching procedures
Step1:Pre-listening
According to our attendance record and several pictures to lead my topic.In this part ,there is a video to present it.
Step2: While-listening
In this part ,I have two aspects.The first one ,I mainly check students’ sensibility of numbers through listening.Most of them all did a good job, but several students couldn’t choose the right answers which often made mistakes.
The second one, I prepared a listening of passage to consolidate how to express and use the numbers.First, show questions to them, let students catch the person’s information from listening,and fill in the blanks to practise their listening in details.Then,we checked the answers from the text to lead the students to use numbers correctly.Next,I showed them the text & some questions, to help them have a further comprehension.
Step3:Post-listening
In this part,I showed them 2 familiar person&their basic information.Students talked about them in groups. And then,each group would give us a show. At last,I invited some students to describe their friends with numbers we learned. Now, Let’s watch a show from my students.
Emotional sublimation: Numbers are everywhere in our daily life, so they are very important and useful.
Step4:Homework
At the end of the class,I designed a homework,that is finding numbers in our daily life and science areas.(such as: the supermarket, the mall& some precise numbers in science......)
Part 4: The analysis of teaching evaluation
In this class, I think I do the best in this ways.
I used suitable ways to lead in.
I made the materials reasonable.
I organized various activities in this lesson.
In this lesson,most students could take part in the activities.
