本文是一篇人物传记，主要运用情态动词can来描述刘伟的技能和成就，运用cannot来表达刘伟取得成功的困难和艰辛。在教授知识同时，告诉学生要不怕困难。学情分析：本课的授课对象为阳坊中学七年级1班学生，共24人。
已有知识和经验：
1.通过对本单元Getting Ready部分以及Lesson10 和Lesson11的学习，学生对 Interests and Skills这个话题并不陌生；
2.学生在小学阶段就已经了解can和can’t的含义，在Lesso11中也对can有了进一步的感知，能够读懂含有该词的句子；
3.学生能够读懂简单的文章，会从文中找出相关信息词，并得到相应答案；
未有知识：
1. 学生对情态动词can后面要用动词原形的用法并不明确；
2. 学生不能深刻体会到坚强的意志力对自己人生的意义和作用。教学目标：1、找出有关刘伟能做什么及如何成功的信息。
2、用can和关键词描述他们自己的能力。
3、让同学能够意识到成功来自于坚强的意志。
