1. Look at pictures and identify the usages of trees.
2. Talk about the importance of trees.
Step2. Reading
1. Ask students to label the paragraphs.
2. Discuss the main idea of the text.
3. Skip the passage and identify the logistic relationship.
4. Sum up how to determine the main idea of a passage.
5. Read the first two paragraphs and answer the relevant questions.
6. Read the third and the fourth paragraphs and answer the following questions.
7. Read the third and fourth paragraphs and find out what they did.
8. Read the paragraphs and fill in the blanks in the passage.
9. Encourage students to give their opinions on whether the 2 persons are heroes or not.
