【课 题】 Unit 6 When was it invented ?
Section A 1a—2c
一、整体设计思路,指导依据
根据《义务教育课程标准》的精神,这节课的设计充分体现“以人为本”的科学发展观,既要面向全体学生,又关注学生的个体差异;强调学习过程,通过创设具体语境,设计循序渐进的语言实践活动,人学生在用英语中活动语言知识,发展语言运用能力。
二、教学背景分析
本节课的话题是“发明”,介绍他们被发明的时间,被什么人发明及其作用,1a-1c是整个Section A的基础,有重要的语言结构:When was it invented?It was invented in...活动2a-2c侧重听说互动是对单元话题的深化和拓展。从语言结构上,需要学生对发明用途提问的句型及回答:What was /is it used for...? It was /is used for...。从活动安排及内容上,主要要求学生听三项小发明的顺序,听懂其用途等等。
三、教学目标
1、知识目标
(1) 句型:When was the telephone invented?
(2)弄清一般过去时态的主动语态与被动语态的差异,并通过练习和运用加以巩固。
(3)掌握本课单词、 短语、句型 Who was it invented by? What are they used for?
2、情感态度价值观目标
(1)在学习中,懂得人类的科学发明创造了丰富的物质文明,激发创造发明的能力
和愿望. 并乐于参加学习小组活动,积极合作。
(2)培养想象力,善于观察事物,面对难题,用积极的态度去解决;发挥想象力,认识 世界,改造世界。
四、教学重、难点
1. 教学重点
(1)句型:When was the telephone invented?
(2) 弄清一般过去时态的主动语态与被动语态的差异,并通过练习和运用加以巩固。
2、教学难点
(1)能听懂含有一般过去时态被动语态的简短对话。
(2)能运用一般过去时态被动语态谈论历史上的发明。
五、教学过程
1、 导入(启发探究)
通过课件呈现中国古代的发明: gunpowder/compass/paper making/printing
然后问学生: What are they?
Help the students to say : They are four inventions of China.
Get the students to repeat.
Then show some inventions on the screen to the students:
Telephone, car, computer, TV set, light bulb,
Teacher: There are many useful things in the world. They help us a lot in life.
When were they invented?
2、 自学(自主探究)
翻译下列年代:

3、 交流(合作探究)
(1). 翻开课本P41,阅读1a部分的内容。完成课本上相应的任务: Number the pictures. 学生看图并根据示范分别用before,after 连句。
(2). 检查答案,先讨论要求全班一起给出答案并检查。
(3). 要求学生听二遍录音,并完成课本上1b的听力任务:
Listen and match the inventions with the years. Check their answers:
4.完成教材1c任务,要求学生模仿1a内容,进行对话练习。并邀请学生进行演示。

5.听力延伸
(1). 翻开课本P42,听录音一遍,完成2a的听力任务,然后检查,统一核对答案。
(2). 让学生再听第二遍录音,完成2b的听力任务。
要求: 听力内容巩固训练。让学生根据所听到的内容完成下列各句,并给出自己的答案,以巩固对听力内容的了解。
(3).听录音填空
The shoes with lights are used for in the dark. They were invented by Julie Thompson. This hot ice cream scoop is used for really cold ice cream. The shoes with special heels are used for the style of your shoes.

inventor (n) 发明家;创造者

此短语中的for是介词,表示用途,后接名词或动词-ing形式。
An orange is used for medicine. 桔子可以入药。
A pen is used for writing. 钢笔用来写字。
(3). be used as & be used by
be used as 意为“被用作……”,介词as表示“作为”,其后一般接名词,
强调使的工具及手段。
This room is used as their office. 这房间被用作他们的办公室。
be used by 意为“被……使用”,介词by后面接动作的执行者(宾语)。
English is used by travelers and business people all over the world. 全世界的旅行者和商人们使用英语。

六、教学评价
这节课的教学过程中形成性评价以诊断性评价为主;一诊断学生复习的任务能否达成,要求一般的学生能用before/after表达几种发明的先后顺序;二诊断学生能否按照预期的方式开展活动,能听懂时间,新的发明及其用途;三分析造成学习困难和设计难以有效实施的因素,被动语态一时无法接受。
