教学目标
使学生能够听说读写本课句型:Who’s this man? What did he do? Why is he famous? He is famous for his inventions. He invented a lot of things. He is famous for studying insects. He is famous for writing stories等。
使学生能够运用本课句型谈论世界名人。
使学生理解第58和第64页短文,并能根据短文内容完成相应任务。

1.教学录音磁带。
2.名人图片。

教学过程
Warming-up
通过各名人图片来复习第一课时的词语:inventor, artist, scientist, poet, writer, American, French, Danish, poems, paint 等。
2.请学生就图片谈论这些名人:
This is Li Bai. He was Chinese. He was a poet. He wrote many famous poems..
教师可多请几个同学谈论,复习上课的句型。
Presentation
师: Turn to Page 58. Look at the pictures. Do you know about these famous people?.请同学就这个问题进行回答。
听录音,学生跟读句子,根据录音内容,把三个图画标上序号。
大屏幕展示这些图片,教师讲解重点句型:
Why is he famous ? He’s famous for his inventions. He invented a lot of things.他为什么著名呢?他著名是因为他的发明。他发明了许多东西。be famous for+名词或动词ing. 以...而出名。
He’s famous for studying insects.他以研究昆虫而著名。
He’s famous for writing stories.他以写故事而著名。
4.再次播放对话录音,学生跟读。
Practice
学生自读对话短文,小组内可相互帮助。
同桌二人就对话内容进行角色表演,根据屏幕上的图片,把对话表演一遍。教师使用“学乐师生”APP录音,把角色表演分享给全体同学。
填写59页表格。关于名人的表格填写。全班订正答案,为下面的小组游戏做准备。
师:下面我们要进行一个小组游戏了。下面我们先来做一个示范,教师把示范句型写在黑板上:
S1:Do you know anything about ...?
S2:Yes. He was a/an... ...他是哪国的什么职业的人。He was a French scientist.
S1:Why is he famous for?
S2:He is famous for studying insects.
小组口语交流活动:二人为一组,相互口语交流这些名人的知识。可以用到老师推荐句型。一名同学手拿卡片提问,另一名同学回答。教师使用“学乐师生”APP录像,把小组活动情况再次分享给全体同学。
6.根据刚才小组口语交流的句子,在59页Part C的横线上写一篇小作文,介绍某位名人。小组内交流写作成果。

学生自己唱一唱,教师使用“学乐师生”APP录音,分享给全班同学。
听录音,完成64页Part A 内容,听录音,连线。全班一起订正答案。
学生自读短文64页Part B,完成相应的回答问题的任务,请同学说一说答案,全班订正。
小组交流活动:自制名人卡片,四人小组内相互提问回答:
Who’s your favourite famous person? It’s ... He was a ...
Why is he famous ? He’s famous for...
教师使用“学乐师生”APP录音,把活动分享给其他组同学。
7.根据你的小组交流,完成65页的小作文。描写自己最喜欢的名人。小组交流写作成果。
