The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a British public service broadcasting corporation. It is the largest broadcaster in the world by number of employees, with about 23,000 staff. It was founded on 18 October 1922 as the British Broadcasting Company Ltd by the British General Post Office (GPO) and a group of six telecommunications companies.
Queen Elizabeth II is Queen of the UK and 15 other Commonwealth realms. She was born in 1926 and became Queen in 1952.
On 20 April 2018, the government leaders of the Commonwealth of Nations announced that the Queen will be succeeded by Prince Charles as head of the Commonwealth.
