Teaching steps(教学步骤)
Warming-up and revision
(1)Greeting to students.
(2)Divide the Ss into four groups to present the dialogue.
Step 1:Greeting and Introduction
Begin by greeting the class with a smile and good morning!
T: Good afternoon, students.
S: Good afternoon, teacher.
Step 2: Show pictures and teach the words.
Step3:Play a game.
Each two students in a group to practice the dialogues:
1) S1: Where do you want to go?
S2: I want to go to Hainan.
2) S3: Where do you want to go?
S4: I want to go to Beijing.
S3: What do you want to do there?
S4: I want to visit the Great Wall.
3) T: Where do you want to go
S: I want to go to HK.
T: What do you want to do there?
S: I want to visit Disneyland.

Analysis of key items and difficulties of teaching:
Function: introduction about someone.
1. Listening: Students can understand others’ greetings by listening.
2. Speaking: Students can introduce themselves/their friends to others.
Character building:
Motivate students’ interest in learning English. Make friends with all students.
Teaching steps(教学步骤)
1.vocabulary study:
Step 1: Play the recording and have them point out the words and phrases in Activity 1.
Step 2: Play the recording again and have them read after the tape.
Step 3: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in PPT.
Step 4: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in Activity6 and check their answer with their partner.
2. Dialogue study:
Step 1: Practice the dialogue with the whole class and have them make corresponding reacts.
Step 2: Have students to practise the previous dialogue with their partner.

Invite Ss to practise the dialogues:
1) S1: Where do you want to go?
S2: I want to go to Tianjin.
2) S3: Where do you want to go?
S4: I want to go to Beijing.
S3: What do you want to do there?

1.Show a picture with Eric, let Ss guess what Eric wants to say to us.

一、教材内容分析
本课时的教学内容为新起点英语四年级下册P25,即A Look, listen and repeat, B Do a survey and report , C Let’s write. A部分借助对话录音和图片呈现三个基本句型:where do you want to go, I want to go to, what do you want to do there,并通过让学生看、听、说、做等途径来感受并学习这些句型。B部分通过读对话填表格,帮助学生熟悉这些句型,并体会这些句型在交际情景中的运用。C部分为让学生根据所给的信息提示,选择本科所学句型完成句子,同时强化良好的英文书写习惯。
三、教学目标
通过本节课的学习,学生能够达到以下目标:
1. 能够听懂、会说 where do you want to go, I want to go to, what do you want to do there;能够根据语境恰当使用它们。
2. 能够根据实际情况,选择本课所学词汇和句子完成对话,同时强化良好的英文书写习惯。
四、教学重难点
教学重点:能够听懂、会说 where do you want to go, I want to go to, what do you want to do there;能够根据语境恰当使用它们。
教学难点:能够将本课时所学的句型背诵并熟练使用。
五、教学步骤
1.课前复习
复习Lesson 1中的sea, ski, eat seafood, visit the Mogao Caves, West Lake, row a boat, the Great Wall, take photos,以听写单词的方式考察学生对Lesson 1 的知识的掌握程度。
2.新课学习
(1).Look, listen and repeat
看书上A部分的对话,让学生边听录音边自己默读,带读课文,使学生能够理解并流利的朗读。
(2)Learn.
教学三个句型:1. Where do you want to go…
2. I want to…
3. What do you want to do…
(3). Do a survey and report.
阅读书上B部分的内容,熟读并完成表格,教师检查。
(4). Write
根据A B部分的内容仿写句子。
(5). Homework
1. Repeat the dialogue to your parents.
2. Ask and answer with your friend by using: Where do you want to go…What do you want to do…I want to…
