教学过程

Step 2：Foundation and ability 夯实基础提升能力 播放歌曲：You might think展示Language practice句子，要求学生朗读，指点may/might的用法异同。展示中考真题及原创试题进行巩固。 点拨may与probably的用法，指导学生独立完成Activity 1，核对答案。指导学生两人组完成Activity 2. 挑选几名学生进行口头汇报检查答案。以同样的方法完成Activity 3.4、指导学生独立完成Activity 4 的填空，提问检查答案。5、呈现Activity 5中的听力题，播放录音，要求学生独立完成，核对答案。 6、展示天气地图，指导学生两人组完成Activity 6中的问答。7、指导学生根据图表及短文完成Activity 7，多媒体展示部分学生答案，予以鼓励。8、指导学生阅读Around the world资料。9、指导学生浏览问题，阅读邮件回答教师问题。齐读邮件并观察邮件的书写格式及正文写法，完成Activity 8。仿照格式完成自己的邮件书写。展示交流，教师点评。 1、欣赏歌曲，朗读句子。掌握may/might的用法异同。试题进行巩固。 2、根据may与probably的用法，独立完成Activity 1，核对答案。3、两人组完成Activity 2. 进行口头汇报。 同样的方法完成Activity 3.4、独立完成Activity 4 的填空，检查答案。浏览听力题，听录音，完成核对答案。 6、根据天气地图，两人组完成问答。7、根据图表及短文完成Activity 7，展示答案。8、阅读Around the world资料。9、浏览问题，阅读邮件回答教师问题。齐读邮件并观察邮件的书写格式及正文写法，完成Activity 8。仿照格式完成自己的邮件书写。展示交流。 寓教于乐、培养观察与归纳能力。 巩固情态动词。 巩固情态动词，培养口语表达能力。 培养独立思考能力。 培养听力能力 培养观察与口语表达能力。 培养观察与阅读能力 拓展阅读。 提高合作探究与创新能力。

情态动词两要点, 动词原形跟后面
说话语气较委婉, can能力may许可
must责任或义务, 否定回答needn't换
should应该,would愿, have to 被迫表客观
1. 表“请求许可”，相当于can，不常用might
--May/Can I use your ruler？
--Certainly. Here you are.
2. 表可能性较大，可能性较小常用might 。否定句中常用 can’t 表示
“不可能”
He may/might know you. 他可能认识你。
He can’t be at home tonight.
3. 表示希望、祝愿。
May you be happy！ 祝你幸福！
May you succeed in modal verbs.
