教学内容：
Story time
二、教学目标：
1、学习生词mean,litter,smoke,smell,shopping centre,restaurant,了解本课的词组：be careful,take…into
2、能初步运用重点句型 “What does it mean？及回答It means …？”针对标识这一主题进行交流沟通。
3、能正确理解课文内容，理清文脉框架，进行复述和表演课文。
4、通过本课学习，让学生了解不同场所内不同公共标识的含义，帮助学生树立公共文明意识。
三、教学重点：
1、学习生词mean,litter,smoke,smell,shopping centre,restaurant，了解本课的词组：be careful,take…into
能初步运用重点句型 “What does it mean？及回答It means …？”针对标识这一主题进行交流沟通。
四、教学难点：
1、重点句型的正确运用及理解。
2、能正确理解、朗读、复述课文内容，理清课文结构。

Step1 Pre-reading.
1. Greeting:Day/date/Weather?
2. Freetalk.
T: What did you do last weekend?
S1: I did my homework first.
S2: I…
T: I went to Yanshang Park.It’s big and beautiful park.I saw many grasses,trees and flowers in it.I saw many signs in it too.
3. Learn:Sign（揭题：Unit5 Signs）
4. T:Where can find the signs?
Ss:In the zoo/school/cinema/…
T: We can see these signs in public places.So we can see the signs in the shopping centre too.
5. Learn:shopping centre—a very big shop.There are clothes shops,shoe shops, restaurants …in it.
Step2 While-reading.
1.Watch and tick.
T: This weekend, Mike, Helen and Tim are at the shopping centre.They also see some signs in the shopping centre.What signs do they see in the shopping centre?Let’s watch the cartoon and tick the signs.
1) Learn the signs: Wet floor, No littering, No eating or drinking, No smoking(并贴在黑板上)
2) Read together.
2.Read and underline.
T:What do these signs mean?Please read Story time by yourselves and underline the information.
1)P1: T:What does the first sign mean?( Learn: mean, It means …)
S: It means the floor is wet.—(Learn: floor)
T: When we see the sign,we can’t run.We should “Be careful.” –L: Be careful

T: Helen is thirsty.Here’s a juice shop.They want to buy some juice.They see the second sign.Does Tim know this sign? – How does he ask?

T: Why can’t we eat or drink in the bookshop?

教学反思：
新旧教材六年级上学期都有Signs这一内容，所不同的是新教材在关注学生语言运用能力的同时，更关注学生“公民意识”的养成，即“遵守规则，做新型公民。”
本课从教师自己上周末去“燕山公园”看到许多标识引出单元话题 “signs”，Signs与我们的生活密不可分，然后让学生说一说还能在哪里看到标识，引出shopping centre。进入课文的学习。在While story板块，通过问题：What signs do they see in the shopping centre?What do these signs mean?引导学生自主地学习课文，并明确在不同的场合我们要注意遵守相应的规则，带领学生判断对与错，探讨是与非，在情境中体会、运用语言。
在教学过程中，我也发现了不少问题：
1.在课堂教学过程中，要注重学生语言习得的“入”与“出”。教师要给出正确的示范，学生在模仿、熟练的基础上，在相应的情境中正确、合理的交流。
2.在课堂中应尽可能培养学生的问题意识，引导其主动提问，并带着问题进入课文的学习。同时还需所多设计一些启发学生思维的问题：如 Why do you know Tim doesn’t know this sign?How does Tim ask?
