本课教学的对象是四年级学生,学生在本单元前两课已经学过询问地点的句子,本课在此基础上学习询问方位,并作出回答,对学生来说难度不大,重点是听指令并做动作go straight 、turn left、turn right.学会区分go straight 和street的读音。因此,在教学活动的设计中,应注重用生动活泼、形式多样的活动吸引孩子们的注意,教师应尽可能多的创造良好的语言环境,给学生充足的语言习得机会,让学生大胆实践,积极参与,让学生在游戏中体验英语、认识英语。
